Job Purpose is to manages the cost of capital Investment projects for Retail amp; Commercial for Vivo Energy in Namibia.
Principle Accountabilities:
- To conduct a feasibility study to estimate materials, time and labour costs using current market related rates to determine the cost of a project.
- To identify suitable suppliers, their individual roles/inputs/responsibilities and advising on the most cost-effective option best suited for the project.
- To assist the Camp;P manager with preparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts.
- To monitor and support the coordination of work effort and ensuring that all works fit within allocated budget.
- To advise the business on a range of legal and contractual issues relating to the projects.
- Valuing completed work claims and arranging payments with the assistance of a Project Engineer.
- Report on project spending including change request’s impact on project budget and maintaining an auditable track record according to regulation (local amp; VE).
Requirements
- Must possess a good first degree in Quantity surveying from a reputable engineering school (home or abroad)
- Minimum three (3) years working experience on a construction projects environment
- Should have Quantity Surveying skills, negotiating skills, cost analyzing skills, construction processes knowledge amp; experience, contract management skills and good communication skills through his/her innovativeness.
- Expertise in key functional areas to be at a sufficiently high level to provide long-term direction and to manage the day-to-day project costs.
