Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • To assist Samp;D Engineer manage the maintenance program and execute capital Investment projects at Windhoek and VMI depots for Vivo Energy Namibia.
  • To assist Samp;D Engineer manage and offer technical support for Commercial Projects.
  • Co-ordinates the execution of activities relating to installation and maintenance of Commercial, Supply and Distribution infrastructure, facilities and equipment at Vivo Energy Namibia commercial customer sites and Windhoek Depot as directed by Samp;D Engineer to ensure appropriate support of the engineering and marketing strategy of the Company.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Prepare minor maintenance budgets.
  • Plan, schedule and execute both minor maintenance works within agreed budget and set standards.
  • Manage and appraise performance of Depot Maintenance service providers to achieve set KPI and administer maintenance contracts as directed by Samp;D Engineer.
  • Manage HSE in construction and maintenance in the depots and compile monthly contractor HSE statistics.
  • Conduct Quality Inspection on all works and products before and after construction
  • Ensure that asset movement amp; disposal are documented and necessary forms raised and actioned upon by finance in the assets register.
  • Ensure proper keeping of auditable maintenance records and maintenance of electronic maintenance database.
  • Manage HSE issues on sites and collate monthly HSE statistics on supervised sites.
  • Equipment selection and installation
  • Management of construction and commissioning of Samp;D and Commercial projects

Requirements

  • Must possess a good first degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical from a reputable engineering school (home or abroad), a minimum working experience in engineering environment preferably in downstream oil business.
  • Should have minimum Project management skills, negotiating skills, computer literate in CAD, interpersonal skills, product knowledge (Main Fuels), contract management skills, and good communication skills through his/her innovativeness.
  • Expertise in key Functional areas to be at a sufficiently high level to provide long-term direction and to support the day-to-day engineering maintenance activities of the depots.
