Job Purpose: To assist distribution engineer manage the maintenance program and execute capital Investment projects in the depots for Vivo Energy Namibia at Tsumeb Depot and Grootfontein depot and VMI sites at Tschudi, Dundee amp; any other that may be assigned to you.
- To manage the execution of activities relating to installation and maintenance of Commercial, Supply and Distribution infrastructure, facilities and equipment at Vivo Energy Namibia commercial customer sites and VIVO Energy owned depots to ensure appropriate support of the engineering and marketing strategy of the Company.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To deliver Samp;D and commercial engineering projects on strict deadlines, within the Vivo Energy standards and approved budget. This includes end-to-end project management, contractor management, HSSE and stakeholder management
- Prepare minor and major maintenance budgets.
- Plan, schedule and execute both minor and major maintenance works within agreed budget and set standards.
- Manage and appraise performance of Depot Maintenance service providers to achieve set KPI and administer maintenance contracts.
- Manage HSE in construction and maintenance in the depots and compile monthly contractor HSE statistics.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (NEMA, Urban Authorities, Weights and Measures, etc.) and Utility suppliers (WATER, NITEL, NEPA) to obtain necessary approvals and ensure no risk to company business.
- Ensure that asset movement amp; disposal are documented and necessary forms raised and actioned upon by finance in the assets register.
- Ensure proper keeping of auditable maintenance records and maintenance of electronic maintenance database.
- Provide regular technical training to Depots’ technical staff and LPG bulk customers (where applicable).
- Manage HSE issues on sites and collate monthly HSE statistics on supervised sites.
- Management of construction and commissioning of Samp;D and Commercial projects
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical
- Minimum 2 years working experience in engineering environment preferably in downstream oil business.
- Should have Project management skills, negotiating skills, computer literate in CAD, interpersonal skills, product knowledge (Main Fuels), contract management skills, and good communication skills through his/her innovativeness.
